Website Test

LinkedIn Post Inspector

LinkedIn keeps its own cache of your link preview, separate from Facebook, and it holds on to it for around a week. This forces a refresh. Enter your URL below.

What LinkedIn Post Inspector measures

The inspector fetches your page as LinkedIn would, shows the resulting preview card, and lists the Open Graph tags it used along with anything it could not read.

How to read your result

LinkedIn falls back to the title and first image on the page when Open Graph tags are missing, and the result is usually wrong. If the preview shows your logo instead of your article image, the og:image tag is either absent or pointing somewhere unexpected.

What to change first

Add an og:image with a full https URL and run the inspector once. LinkedIn updates its cache at that moment, so the next person who shares the link gets the new card.

Common questions

How long does LinkedIn cache a link preview?
About seven days. Running the Post Inspector clears it right away.
Do I need to be logged in to LinkedIn?
Yes, the inspector requires a signed in LinkedIn account.
