Website Test

Social Share Preview

Before you paste a link anywhere, this shows you the card people will actually see. Enter your URL below and it fetches the preview automatically.

What Social Share Preview measures

The tool reads the Open Graph and Twitter Card tags on your page and renders the resulting preview for several platforms side by side, using each platform own layout and image crop.

How to read your result

Compare the platforms against each other, because they crop differently and a picture that looks right on Facebook can lose its subject on X. A blank image area means either the tag is missing, the image URL is wrong, or the image is too small. Platforms generally want at least 1200 by 630 pixels.

What to change first

If the image is missing, check that the og:image tag holds a full URL starting with https rather than a path. Relative image paths are the most common reason a share card comes out blank.

Common questions

Why does my old image still show when I share the link?
Facebook and LinkedIn cache the preview. Run their own debugger tools to force a refresh after you change the image.
What size should my share image be?
1200 by 630 pixels works everywhere. Keep anything important away from the edges, because each platform crops a little differently.
